The Lights of Justice and Freedom Have Gone Out in the US

Do not expect them to come back on any time soon.

This is a land of evil. A land of diminished humanity. A land where freedom dare not raise its head, for fear of what may become of it. A land which should be shunned and shut out by the rest of the world. Its people denied access to the world’s favours and fortune. Until, at least, the correct lessons have been learned.

But they have no leader. No-one fit to stand up and lead the way. No moral guidance. No strong principles. No God, if you think that is important and that humanity itself is not sufficiently in command of their own actions, to do what is right, and just, and beneficial for all their members. No God but themselves – first and foremost.

Let them rot where they are. And if they can never find a way out of their discomfort and darkness, then so be it.

But at least Julian Assange is Free now. Or so it is declared. Free but guilty?

I admire Scott Ritter for the stand he has taken today on behalf of Julian Assange…
