Pres. Obama, chief spruiker of the TPP and chief duper of Pacific nation leaders, lays down in this reported speech exactly the reason Australia should not have signed onto that manifestly ‘America First, everybody else kneel down’ travesty of an agreement, which amounts to perpetual commercial servitude:

“TPP allows America — and not countries like China (and Australia) — to write the rules of the road in the 21st century, which is especially important (for America) in a region as dynamic as the Asia-Pacific,” (brackets are my own addition, but the meaning of which is implied in the statement).

USTR-TPP

TPP – Made in America, for America.  Slanting the playing field in America’s favour, for American workers & American businesses.

Sad, sad, sad.
