“The west’s treacherous nature and its warped sense of superiority are still evident.”

…”And we should therefore act accordingly, responding in full or even delivering preemptive strikes if need be.” – Medvedev.

I am fully attuned to this type of talk – a very necessary accompaniment to the usually more restrained Russian diplomacy. The West is so dumb these days, and with so little memory retention or capacity to understand even simple statements, they need to have a clearer version of reality fully explained to them, every time and on every occasion. Dmitri Medvedev is just the man to deliver those messages, and I fully support him. And if need be, if only to wake up the West a little bit, preemptive strikes by Russia should definitely be utilised. It may be the only way to tame the West, and show them their proper place in world affairs.

Russia’s Medvedev proposes fourth ‘D’ for Ukraine as deparasitization – TASS – July 17, 2025

It is always good to look back into history for guidance on intractable difficulties and, when I read this TASS article, I realised for the first time just where the specific Russian demands for a settlement of the Special Military Operation they engaged in back in February 2022 (and which were so clearly expressed to Western leaders, in a document during December 2021) came from. It was the exact same language used during the post-war negotiations between the then Allies and the defeated Germans in 1945 (exactly 80 years ago, on July 17, 1945, the Potsdam Conference began).

These same articles of agreement (the three D’s) – demilitarization, denazification and democratization – were first formulated for that occasion, to ensure future global peace. They were not properly dealt with back then (80 years ago), have not been dealt with since, paving the way for the inevitable situation we have today in Ukraine. Therefore, the three D’s need to be enforced – once and for all – in today’s world, and with proper agreement and approval (pre- or post- event) of global jurisprudence.

That can be done only by international agreement (post event if necessary) – of global significance and under global judicial authority – the easy way – or through unilateral enforcement of the same rules (whether or not under judicial approval) by a significantly powerful global actor (such as Russia), with or without the potential backing of a majority of the world’s nations – the hard way.

The easy way will see far less people killed or harmed in its execution than if the hard way becomes necessary. And especially if the talk of ‘first strikes’ becomes more than just talk.

There is no other way.

There can be no other way.

There will be no other way, if the current matter is not soon resolved.

Mr M also proposes the addition of a new ‘D’ condition, making it fully four ‘D’mensional. Put simply, since I want to move on to something else Mr Medvedev said more recently, the new ‘D’ is Deparasitization, or Disinsection, or Disinfection – take your pick. They all mean more or less the same thing – the removal of the pests from society – one way or another. A quite brilliant move I think. A preventive effort which allows for no future repeats of the nazi problem – and a move which should have been carried out 80 years ago.
