‘Real de-Nazification’ would include all Europe – Medvedev. I have been saying this for a long time now, well… if you consider three years or so a ‘long time’. And I completely agree with Dmitry Medvedev.

The notion of ‘denazification’, for me, and assuming I am not mistaken, first arose as a phrase used in the communication by Russian President Vladimir Putin in December 2021 and sent to the then US administration as a basis on which to settle differences for avoiding conflict over, at the time, the Ukraine regions known as the Donbass. Or something similar to that as I do not remember the exact phrasing used. These regions were being constantly (daily) bombarded by Ukrainian artillery since declaring themselves independent republics following the internal troubles within that country in early 2014. Prior to that, the Ukraine had long been known as harbouring neo-Nazi contingents which had obviously infested their military units.
Russia, by that document, was indicating to the West that its patience was wearing thin over the many civilian deaths occurring, giving the West opportunity for a unified effort to stem the bloodshed before military action would be needed. The offer was largely ignored, leaving Russia no choice but to take matters into its own hands. A majority of Donbass residents are Russian nationals, and they needed to be protected.
That history, and subsequent rising neo-nazism within Ukraine, entirely justify the need for the ‘denazification’ approach alongside that of the joint condition of ‘demilitarisation’, over the whole territory of Ukraine. The West knew that all along, and have done nothing to assuage the need – whether within Ukraine or among their own citizens. So, it becomes ever more clear that the task needs to be carried out by global forces, and not just Russia – before it spreads to being a global problem. This does not necessarily mean it needs to develop into ‘war’ among those nations ‘selected’ for cleansing. Any rational nation should welcome assistance from a world force – perhaps under UN authority – to root out embedded evil within its civilian society. But it needs to be done, whether by agreement, or not.
