How More Clearly Can This Ever Be Said?

I have always, incidentally, no matter the situation on the ground in Ukraine, for almost three years now, maintained that this is the one and only way that the Ukraine situation can peacefully be resolved. The general terms were laid down right at the beginning by President Putin. The west demurred, in fact they quite rudely ignored the offer. It will not so easily be ignored again.

Of course the situation can also be resolved on exactly this same terms by non-peaceful means (Ukraine being militarily defeated and all NATO dissent silenced), but that way entails possible other risks of a broader and more dramatic kind.

I suggest the west should see the sense in that and comply as they are expected to do. Behaving for once as rational humans. We can then all sleep easier.
