So, The US Has Chosen – “Better Red Than Dead”

This is a re-issuance of the post I made late last night, which was – I thought – a rather clever play on colour. It may have been a little too clever for some, leading to possible misinterpretation of my meaning. Rather than turning ‘red’ in the ideological sense, the country is, if anything, now leaning more to the right than in even distant times. Yet is is definitely more ‘red’ than ever, as a glance at the map will confirm. Will Donald Trump become a new Hitler figure? A Jeanne D’arc (hardly)? Or a Nero perhaps?

How times change …although I feel sure no guarantees were given – and the future appears to be anything but certain. But let them have their joy for the moment. Everyone needs a little hope in the world.

We will see, sooner or later I suppose, the way the tide flows. I’m not wishing them luck – good or bad. Or commenting on the wisdom of their decision. They fully deserve whatever the future has in store for them. The Bastards.
