“Perhaps when the evildoers are smitten, Russia and Mr. Putin can forgive them. But not before the smiting.”

A quote from Phil Butler’s latest authoritative and illuminative piece on Journal NEO (New Eastern Outlook). The link is below. I would love to feature the whole piece in full here, since it clearly echoes my own thinking on the subject, but it is only a click away.

‘The Day Arrives: Putin Must Pull the Chain on Kyiv’ – Phil Butler for New Eastern Outlook – Aug 17, 2024

[Phil Butler, is a policy investigator and analyst, a political scientist and expert on Eastern Europe, he’s an author of the recent bestseller “Putin’s Praetorians” and other books. He writes exclusively for the online magazine “New Eastern Outlook”.]

It stirs my heart to read such lines as this. And causes me to wish to see the day when I see the US, Britain, Europe and the whole of the west, lying crushed and vanquished at the feet of Russia’s heroic military forces, following a bloodbath from which they will never rise. And in support of that worthy cause, it would not in any way harm the struggle – as Phil says – “…seeing North Korean, Chinese, Belarussian, and Iranian troops on the border alongside Russians.” May it happen that way, and quickly.

Only then will the real world know peace.
