What Do You Know About Probiotics?

If I were to answer that, I would say – “not very much”. I have used probiotics in various preparations over the years but never bothered to find out what it was all about. I assumed it was some new modern Pharma thing – a selling point. But I was wrong.

What started this was an insert in today’s daily The Automatic Earth post, an X (twitter) video, the original of which is superior in sound to the TAE link (English dialog) – https://x.com/thehealthb0t/status/1794690719724294347 – That post is not related to my current story but it is very interesting in itself. It is about COVID virus deaths/injuries, but it caused me to look around and I found out more about probiotics than I ever knew previously. Yes, I am still learning. Even at 79 years of age, every day is a new learning experience of some sort.

I first came across this, also on X and followed it to a better source – https://greatawakening.win/p/17rSjF40ES/former-cia-agent-talks-about-how …well, you can forget what the ex-CIA agent says about curing cancer. Probiotics are an immune system booster, not a cancer cure (correct me if I’m wrong). But he does relate a story going back to the Chernobyl incident, which involves a Dr Lawrence Royce who worked with Soviet Russian doctors and scientists, dealing with radiation sickness in the affected radiation area of Soviet Ukraine. Listen and watch what he says yourself, specifically about a local family of 8 living generations in what was called the Blue Area, none of whom were getting sick. And other people in the same area were doing well as well. The assumption is that these people were taking probiotics and of course not eating the kind of crap food that most folk thoughtlessly eat today – well, it was not markedly ‘around’ back then. Of course that does not explain the longevity of the elder members of that family, but also those folk lived in an age before food became the toxically laden chemical preparations we see today, sold in major supermarkets and fast food outlets.

I found this all to be very interesting. So I did some further research.

It appears that probiotics were discovered by a Russian born scientist, Ilya (or Élie) Metchnikoff (he lived part of his life in France) around 1907, the work continued by Soviet scientists and (to continue the story)…

‘Soviets Took Probiotics to the Next Level’ – Neutraceuticals World – 2008

…the benefits eventually brought to the western world some time after the Chernobyl incident. I suspect most people today would know about probiotics. Not that they are of any use alongside the modern western diet. But those of us who eat healthily (which is the only reason I am still alive after more than 14 years of heart fibrillation – unmedicated, by personal choice) can attest to the benefits of a healthy immune system. There is much more to the probiotics story of course – and beware of western ‘health’ experts downplaying it as animal medicine or something of the sort, but I’m sure those with any interest can discover more for themselves.

I am grateful for the reminder this information gave me, since I am not currently taking any probiotics other than in my favourite dairy free ice cream and custard. I hereby promise myself that I will further look into including more of this immune boosting discovery in my future diet. If I can prolong my life in a healthy way until after the upcoming post-western humiliation, that will be quite satisfying.
