China is One of the Most Democratic Nations on the Face of the Planet. Believe It!

If you can suspend your anti-China views (assuming you have any) for just a moment and consider a few facts, you can learn the truth of the above statement – and perhaps surprise yourself at the same time.

Chinese governance has many levels, and at all levels the voices and ideas of individual citizens (even foreigners) can be heard and may become active in the production of laws. This is facilitated through Legislative outreach offices set up by the National People’s Congress (NPC), which serve as a direct communication channel between China’s top legislature and ordinary people.

Contrast that with any western so-called democracy where you may get to cast a vote once every 4, 5, or 6 years in a form similar to a lotto game and are never personally consulted on any issue (or which issues) that may become subject to law.
