Burned To A Crisp

Wow!! I thought I had occasionally indulged in some bold, brutal, unabashed statements. Words undiluted for the sake of the timid. But I don’t think I have ever made such straight-shooting, iron-clad, no-holds-barred words as come in this latest piece from William Schryver. And yet I cannot disagree with anything he says here.

This is a statement which offers no hope at all, of any kind, from any quarter for the US nation, already torn and bleeding profusely from its own self-inflicted and potentially fatal wounds. It is an unavoidable death sentence, with no hope of reprieve. ‘Unavoidable’ because there is no possible way for the US to change for the better. Utter destruction being the only option. Only then perhaps, something may rise from the ashes of a nation first ‘burned to a crisp’.

I have to admit that I also see that complete reduction to ashes as an absolute necessity. Nothing should remain of the former entity. I should also say here, having been presented with this unique opportunity, I don’t much care how that happens. I confess this has been in my mind as the only solution to the world’s ills for a long time now, but I have not until now dared to say it.

The only danger which faces both the US and the world is that this will not happen. One way or another, the future of all of us hinges on the fulfillment of that event. It is the only way forward.
