In any environment, a natural environment, anywhere in a physical universe (which I hope we can agree is, or has the appearance of being, where we are at) there are physical limits to either the growth or decline of any component which forms part of that environment. Physical limits, which if exceeded – if it were possible to exceed them (which it is not – that’s what limits are for) – would render that environment to a state of imbalance. Thus inducing, if the natural order of things permitted, the formation of a different environment and the disappearance, perhaps for ever, of the old.
It is obvious from observations of the history of our local planetary environment that such environmental changes are actually ‘frequent’ (in terms of the whole of history – though imperceptible and generally static in terms of the human lifetime). Such changes are also generally progressive in nature, interspersed with less frequent interjection of events from outside the local planetary environment [We should never forget that our ‘world’ is but a small part of much larger physical formations.] Such interjections may cause massive and irreversible changes which, on the face of it, deny the natural order but when viewed from the larger system angle also fit into the natural order of things. It is just a question of scale.
Those are just some personal observations I make as a basis for describing, at a superficial level, the natural order of things. It is clear that there is a universal natural order, even though at the local level that may not ‘appear’ to be so at times.
It is also clear that when viewed from the larger perspective, and even from the local planetary perspective, that it is the natural order which governs what happens in our locality. The influence of humanity – which in its own vanity it believes it can itself alter the movements of the natural order – is of such an inconceivably minute practical effect as to be entirely discountable as a factor of change. Yes, we may be viewed as an irritant to the natural order, but we are unable – even if we could arrange to all act together, to change a damn thing. Except perhaps to make the whole situation, if in fact there is a situation, a whole lot worse for us in the long run.
So, what is this whole climate crisis, global warming, global cooling, ‘we must act now’, clamour, panic, and fuss, all about? Even if it were real – and continuous environmental change is real – it is entirely out of our hands to control. So let’s ‘get real‘ and prepare ourselves (making adjustments to how and where we, ourselves, live and act), without a thought or care as to how we can alter anything else concerning our environment. Because that (altering the course of nature) we simply cannot do.
Having said that, is there any real cause for panic? Or is this some generated and overblown idea for the purpose of furthering systemic control over the human population by nefarious elements from within our own number?
I will leave this there, as something to reflect on. Saving what I was intending to say next for another time.
