Time For US To ‘Put Away Childish Things’

“UN to take measures at Russian request after US visa issues”

The United States has put itself in an undefendable position by not issuing visas for ten Russian delegation members to enter the US, rendering them unable to attend the recent meetings of the UNGA First Committee.

This is a totally unacceptable situation for which if the US loses its right to host future UN committee meetings – as I understand Russia has requested – they will have only themselves and their puerile actions to blame.

There is no doubt in my mind that this incident was just some childish game being played by US authorities for their own amusement. It is time the US grew up and started to demonstrate some maturity in its international dealings and commitments.
