The Building Blocks of Geopolitical Harmony – and Cooperative Freedom of Global Trade

Ha! Only today did I issue a piece, my previous post, highlighting the effective Global crackdown on Western Adventurism in terms of world trade routes. If you haven’t read it, it concerns announcement of a strategic deal between India and Russia, both nations being BRICS members.

While BRICS itself has no, and needs no, military component within its structure, it is aligned with other Eurasian organisations which do. And these are some powerful relationships with a huge interest in ensuring piracy-free trading across those expansive oceanic lakes – including their various choke points – a phrase which is gaining significant attention recently, and will feature even more so as the US shows a willingness to pursue its piracy policy in the Malacca area. The Russia-India agreement is a magnificent step to thwart Western piracy action on the oceanic trade routes to the south of the great Asian landmass – realistically from the Red Sea at its western end to the Straits of Malacca in the east as it gives Russia permanent access for stationing of 3,000 troops, military aircraft and naval ships in Indian ports, which are ideally placed across those waters, now assuming a strategic role.

That is one half of the equation of effective management to ensure trade never becomes bogged down by ships of clown led barbarians. The second half only just came into my awareness, with this brief quote from a fresh Pepe Escobar piece, linked below – ‘INDOPACOM’s wet dream is of course to control Malacca‘.

Ha-Ha! Thwarted again Batman (INDOPACOM)! I wonder if there was some meaningful timing for these two initiatives to become aired on the news circuits at the same time? It is more than coincidental I am sure. Every underhand step undertaken by the US – and it is mostly he US as the EU is but a ‘bit player’ in these things – is already anticipated by the clear minds of the global majority planners.

Allow me to give my brief take on these developments and then you can read Pepe’s new piece.

So, there are moves by the empire of chaos to block the straits of Malacca, their first blocking attempt (actually their second, after they were ejected from the Al Bab region earlier. in the conflict with the Houthis) on the Hormuz choke point having now been recognised as a total failure along with their putative, and damaging, land based fiasco. The empire thinks it has Indonesia in its pockets, just as it thought it controlled India (Ha! What a giggle!). Indonesia is well and truly placed within the BRICS group, with strong links to both Russia and China.

We used to think of the big three of the global South nations as the RIC group – Russia-India-China – until the subterfuge of India warming itself to the West. There is nothing wrong with that, as a sovereign policy, which I also pointed out recently. Such moves are also done by Russia and China – all of them quite sincerely carried out on the part of these independent nations. The same could be said of Indonesia, the second iteration of the ‘RIC’ combo – Russia-Indonesia-China. Actually this would be the third ‘RIC’, Iran having earlier formed part of the – Russia-Iran-China – grouping. So we have a very united ‘big five’ within BRICS, which could be thought of as ‘RIIIC’. Not a separate group as such, but now acting as a solid bulwark across the whole length of the southern Asia waterways to keep open a continuous trade route for all sovereign nations to use. There is nothing that a fast fading naval force of the brigands of the West can do now to pursue notions of piracy at all across that watery expanse. Forget Taiwan. Forget Japan. Forget South Korea. Forget Singapore. They will all see the benefit to themselves of separation from the empire of chaos. I only hope my country of Australia still possesses the sense to do the same. The whole west could, of course, choose to act cooperatively in the region, to also benefit from such open trade themselves. With the way things seem to be going, that choice may become more of a survival necessity. But they will never be allowed to dominate matters or dictate advantage for themselves outside of the accepted terms of international trade. Opportunities for coercion and bullying are now in the past, for all nations with an eye to the future.

This is an end-time for ‘specialness’ and ‘essentiality’. An era of non-size based ‘equality’ begins to take shape.

Pepe Escobar: Imperial Dire Straits – After Hormuz, Malacca – Sovereignista – May 2, 2026

‘Sovereignista’ was of course originally ‘Global South’ and it is probably time for me to begin to acknowledge their most recent site name. Pepe’s piece was first published on Sputnik, I understand, and a link to there is given in the post. But I chose to use the Sovereignista version as it is easier to read and not littered by markers to other posts.
