If Zelensky were smarter, he’d travel to Moscow for talks — Finnish politician – TASS – March 24, 2026
“It makes no sense for Vladimir Zelensky to continue this war”.
Zee, are you listening?
What would he gain by doing that? Well, personally, perhaps nothing much, except he might, just might, continue to remain alive after the inevitable conclusion of the conflict. But his country would benefit immensely.
For a leader, a good leader, a true leader, that would be a first priority.
So, what would Ukraine gain?
- First, the nation, or at least part of it, may continue to exist as a viable state entity, under some form of Russian protection, and/or split apart and apportioned to former neighboring states.
- It may continue to exist viably, even though with a hugely diminished male population. Although that may be enhanced by natural population movements from whatever new associations as part of other states or returning expats.
- The opportunity would arise for greater prosperity than the people have ever known through those new associations. Especially with Russia.
- It would enjoy a level of real security, perhaps for the first time.
- I doubt they would want to be part of a crumbling EU. NATO would be gone and European nations might (it is a hope anyway) feel more free to participate in the greater changes coming as part of the fairer world order arising in the majority nations of the global south.
- … this will mark a new beginning for all, free from hegemon, and the list of possibilities is endless.
Come on, Zee. Face the inevitable, and perhaps… live to tell the tale. If you are not already too far gone. You owe that to your wife, as much as to anyone else.
