While The World Burns (according to climate alarmists)…

…the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) reports an all-time record harvest for grain production this year (2025-2026).

“We are constantly increasing our wheat estimates due to harvests in Russia, the EU, and Argentina. For corn, volumes are growing in China, the US, and Argentina. Rice continues to set new records, with Indonesia joining the mix this year.”

…a quote from the FAO representative said, at the Winter Grain Conference, held in the resort town of Belokurikha in Russia’s Altai Territory, over the last few days of February – as reported by TASS…

Global grain production exceeds 3 bln tons for the first time ever — FAO – TASS – Feb 28, 2026

How can this be? With catastrophic global warming, floods, storms, fires, desertification, rising seas, forest stripping, industrial expansion, along with governments, climate ‘scientists’ and international organisations all working together to tell us we are all in grave danger from runaway climate change. All of that being exacerbated by our own daily activities as a major component of the problem. I should probably have turned those last two sentences into questions as well. But no, they are statements (paraphrased of course), made by those who taunt us and lay blame on us for the rather undesirable situation they describe to us as being our fault. I don’t buy it!

It doesn’t make sense. I mean, ask yourself, does it? No, of course not. I mean, how could it? The grain is real enough. And it happens every year, increasingly so, on a whole of world basis. The planet can, and is, still capable of producing food for all of us, continually. So what is not real about any of this? Ask yourself that question.

The answer is – and must be – contained but hidden, only in what those governments, climate ‘scientists’ and international organisations are telling us. Because even with the bad things we are told that we are responsible for to make climate worse, and in all the activities we have done and are still collectively carrying out to supposedly mitigate those supposed failures on our part, nothing has changed. In fact we are made aware that these matters are continually becoming more dire as time goes by. Our industrial production is growing; mining increasing to keep up with that; our agricultural production is increasing, though in many cases by unnatural means and undesirable intentions; and our population level is still growing – albeit at a slower rate, although any increase simply adds to our consumption levels and demands. So the net effect of all this is that we are using more of everything the planet has to offer, and giving back virtually nothing. And that I think is acknowledged by all the signals. On top of all that, we are continually reminded that the issues are constantly growing worse – even if usually without any real, provable evidence. We hear tales of almost every completed year being the hottest, the driest, the most destructive year ever. And yet nothing has run out or dried up so far. The Earth just keeps giving. The answer is of course that the planet keeps being renewed, on a daily basis. This has worked for billions of years. Why would it stop now? And don’t say – ‘because of us’. That is a ridiculous notion, a leaky bucket which holds no water. Yes, it is true that we are using some resources faster than they can be replenished in our increasingly technology complicated world. So they will eventually run out and, in any case, during any natural activity for their replenishment, while that is unfolding, if it could happen at all, it might not be very practical for us to even be here. But we have alternatives, so resource exhaustion is not a real problem. And I don’t mean the failed ‘renewables’, the PVs and EVs and such, as we have attempted up to this point. All that we have succeeded in doing in our vague attempts to address the edicts of our accusers, is to make a few people incredibly rich – directing exactly zero benefit for the planet. In fact some of these ‘fixes’ actually make a supposedly bad situation, worse – in a ‘cure’ less desirable than the ‘illness’ kind of way.

So, what do we do? How do we get out of this foggy impasse which apparently, we are told, leads only to potential death of the planet and certain death of our species? With no hope of escape. Forget Mars, or even the Moon. We are stuck here. Here, on Earth, we live or die. Anything else is just unachievable fantasy.

Maybe we can’t escape our fate. Maybe there is no bright technological future awaiting us. And would we want what that entails anyway? Nothing lasts for ever. Species come and species go, as their environment changes or simply disappears. Or maybe some stronger force or accident of nature simply wipes them out. Why should we think that we are any different to any other? Should we have some special fate waiting to save us? Or are we, in fact, worth saving?

My own ticket to ride this life of often delightful physical experience and other emotive responses, could be set to expire quite soon. I try not to think about that too much, simply enjoying the journey. But I have long accepted that this may be all there is. It would be quite nice if I were to wake up one day and find myself in some other reality, physical or otherwise, and experience whatever emotions that engenders. If, in fact, emotions can be ‘felt’ in a non-physical or perhaps different physical reality. But I have no expectations that will happen or is even possible. If non-existence is all there is, then so be it. It doesn’t really matter. I won’t even be there, wherever ‘there’ is, if anywhere, to know my situation, having left all my physical attributes and components behind, as is the rule for this life. Will there even be a ‘me’ to contemplate these things? Alternatively, will I have a new body? A different body? And would I get a say in any aspect of that? Such is too complex and unpredictable to spend much concern or thought on unknown possibilities while living in this life.

Perhaps I should end this here. Maybe all that is required (and this is already a long way from where I began this piece) is simply a willingness to let go …when the time comes…

…and not to care or worry about those things, before it does.
