If you want to get rich, build a road – Xi Jinping
I just viewed a video which I found to be very interesting. Interesting, mostly because it matches to a great extent my own views and represents, in my view, the path our world is shaping up to follow in the next period of human existence and development. We are already some way along that path, needing only to subdue noxious western ‘trends’ – no, I think ‘tendencies’ or even ‘dictats’ better describe the situation. I also think we are also some way along that path of subduction, aided by the fairly rapid and unstoppable growth of China and its benign and beneficial influence on many of the other independent nations of the world whose development has been subject to the rules (subjugation) and capitalism (overbearance) of the western world. And aided to that end by the West’s obsessive but negligent predilection to see a continuance of its oppressive capitalist domination of world economic matters for ever. A goal clearly seen to be failing in recent years. Seen in that light, the future appears to be a bright one for much of humanity. And perhaps others will join that future on seeing its practical benefits.

Eric Li: “The West Has No Idea What’s Coming…”
Who is Eric Li? Well, he is a Chinese venture capitalist, born (1968) in Shanghai, who moved to the US to become a ‘Hippy’ (I think that is what he said) in his early twenties, for tertiary education, later returning to China. And he holds the clearest concise view I have yet seen, on China, how and why its political and social systems have worked together to make China now the largest and strongest economy of any country in the world, soon to outmatch any and all western nations, whose fortunes are clearly in decline.
In 2013 he featured a talk on TED, which is an interesting, fact filled, clear, and quite amusing exposition on the differences in political systems. I think you may enjoy watching that video too…
