Let me begin by stating that I am but an infant (I just realised) when it comes to discussion on this subject. So I should not offer personal views , and I try to maintain that stand. Let me also say that I place a great deal of trust in Russia – the nation, its people and its current leaders – on many matters, and I believe these thoughts are firmly based. Although I am not blind to the fact that there are some things which are not at this point clearly defined. The reasons for which being clouded by the nation’s long history or, being work-in-progress, as yet to be fully revealed.

And so I was delighted to find this discussion (in the comments section of the article linked below) among a few more learned operators than myself, including by amarynth who has some administration, author, perhaps even ownership control of the website for the story linked below. I don’t usually recommend the reading of comments, but in this case I make an exception. I make clear that I did not care to watch the video. John Helmer does not rate highly in my own opinion. He is a fellow countryman of mine, peddling the usual lies associated with western journalism and nestled as he is as the “longest-serving western correspondent in Moscow” since 1989 (per Wikipedia). But I will be long grateful for the more in-depth awareness I gained from the lines provided by these comment authors. And that is the main reason I share this now. The relevant comments are long, for reading, but worthily so. I hope you can find time to also ascertain that and to find relevance, and some agreement, with what is said. Ignoring, of course, the few inevitable one-liners of the ignorant.
