This Young Woman Knows. Catch What She Knows on ‘World Affairs in Context’.

I have been following Lena Petrova’s online presence as a working CPA of global vision, for some time now and have previously shared some of her more or less regular videos. She writes about many of the most important current affairs events around the world, as they happen. Based in the US, she is more aware than most, if not all, US politicians, and much of her work centres around effects of what happens there in her country of residence. I think it becomes fairly obvious what that entails. It is a sad story really, but the current reality was actually inevitable when you come to think about it. The same goes for Europe. And if we Australians are not careful (and somehow manage to separate ourselves), this also applies to our own country and every other supposedly independent nation sublimated (I think that is the correct word I intentionally use, rather than ‘subjugated’) to that western group of nations.

Here is Lena’s latest video, as at time of writing…

Indonesia Breaks the Rules: Russia, BRICS & the New World Order (De-Dollarization Begins) – Lena Petrova – World Affairs in Context – Dec 18, 2025

‘De-Dollarization’, while that is the exact effect though not the primary aim of countries working towards freedom from US Dollar rule, did not begin today but quite a few years ago. It was among, I think, the main reasons for the formation of BRICS (now usually referred to as BRICS+ due to its growth pattern), which is chiefly a coming together by a growing group of nations, currently covering about half the global population (and a sizeable proportion of world GDP) for mainly economic reasons plus the important matter of national sovereignty. Indonesia is a full member of the BRICS global community and keen to integrate while maintaining its economic independence to interact with others, even such as the US – though still held back somewhat by imposed illegal western sanctions. Once sheltered from any pressing need for US Dollars through trading with partners in local currencies or whatever payment solutions BRICS eventually generates. Such trading conditions and benefits being the whole point of joining the community – and policies toward which happy position Indonesia is rapidly developing. Of course this only happens when national leaders are awake to see which way the wind is blowing.

The world’s nations are no longer content (if they ever were) to be colonial vassals or a ravaged workforce and supply depot for the benefit of western interests and overlords. The west should have seen that coming over the past 80 years or so. But they didn’t. Enjoying the free ride in rude ignorance and profligate comforts of what amounts to cultural debauchery. A crime for which they are now beginning to pay. They won’t like it of course, but now it is an unstoppable force which is both divorcing and isolating them (the west) and against which they (the west) have no longer any means of exerting control. These are all things the western bloc has gradually and irrecoverably lost, also over the same past 80 years or so. And they (the west) are gradually awakening to that reality. It is a hard lesson, but one they (and perhaps we Australians also) must learn. It is not incorrect to suggest that Australia is attempting, on a relatively small scale, to also become a colonial power in the Pacific region. Distasteful as that may be. Our government should drop any such thoughts right now. That age is gone, forever.
