Truth Relegated by political Parties to Whatever is Most Likely to Help Gain or Retain Electoral Power

Australia’s conservative Liberal Party, all but wiped out at the last election, has learned nothing, it seems, about the value of truth in politics. The fact that the public – and politicians – are sadly uninformed about what is true or not in real scientific terms, is lost in the general hiatus of prior values in modern society. But whether or not that is relevant in a world sliding into mediocrity, it is no basis on which to run a country. Any country.

The real tragedy of this being that while some countries appear to be awakening to some issues based around personal and national sovereignty, the issue of truth in science and the spread of deliberate obfuscation of that truth, and worse still to misuse of science through irrelevant practices, has become a general malaise now well fostered among all quarters of the global population. A malaise now only recognised by a few and which, if remaining unchanged, over time will lead to dangerous conditions of existence for our descendants. The truth of which will undoubtedly become more and more apparent as time goes by. Watch for signs that all is not what it is said to be. They will eventually become undeniable.
