Had you noticed that? It’s fairly obvious, except perhaps for those more deeply involved with the recent current climate zeitgeist, who are still very busy polishing their theories or theoretical stories, mindsets or memes. Whether home-grown or following ‘the science’.
There has always been a huge gap between the position of climate believers (many of whom graduated to become full blown alarmists) and their arch-foe, the deniers. But who gave permission for the former to ‘exaggerate’ climate problems way beyond the limits of what could only ever be probabilistic (based on modelling theory)? Hold that thought, for the answer is coming.
To explain the new phenomenon – well, not so new since this was always the view of what used to be called ‘deniers’ in the old language, and it seems those views are now beginning to prevail, to the chagrin of the ‘alarmists’, whose tales of danger and woe are growing rather stale and sordid in the face of persistent climate refusal to conform to them – Robert Bradley Jr. who penned the piece linked below suggests this may be the cause of what is happening – which I share only to pique your interest in the much more to be read in the full piece…
Instead of alarmism, immediate relief from extreme weather and adaptation are the order of the day (see here). COP activists might not realize it yet, but the multi-decade push for mitigation has peaked. Fossil fuels won despite the best (worst?) efforts of governments around the world to prop up inferior energies, the dilute, intermittent, fragile kind.
What is a climate alarmist to do? Hope and pray for extreme weather events to keep the narrative going? (How perverse!) For example, the big bet this year was many super hurricanes to keep the narrative going–and last year to counter Trump at the polls. Neither panned out with ambiguity about the anthropogenic effect on cyclones (number, intensity).
Climate Alarmists Question Climate Exaggeration – Climate -Science.Press – Nov 6, 2025
There are lots of things I could say further to this (How Trump may just accidentally (well, not for the right reasons anyway) have saved the world from a destructive Global Green Carbon Tax, for instance), but I don’t want to complicate what I think is quite an important and timely message, giving reason for all to reconsider or reaffirm their views before we – not climate – destroy ourselves, motivated by what are basically lies. And at best, are mistaken beliefs.
