Just like ALL the other Western MSM, I guess.
Here’s a classic example…
Trump and Putin to discuss Ukraine war at Budapest summit – ABC News Online – October 16, 2025
Point#1: “Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin will meet face-to-face in Hungary to discuss ending Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the US president has said.”
Trump said nothing of the sort. That is reporter lies. Trump merely said they would meet soon. No mention of any ‘invasion’ by Russia. There never was a full-scale invasion by Russia. At least not yet.
Point#2: “Russia has intensified its aggression against Ukraine in the months since (Alaska). It has targeted energy infrastructure with a relentless drone assault, cutting power across the country as winter approaches.”
There have been no ‘Aggression’ attacks by Russia on Ukraine. Russia always attacks (with unmatched precision weapons) military targets and areas of concentration of Ukraine’s military forces. Any civilian targets injured are likely due to falling failed debris from indiscriminate Ukraine AD fire. Russia legitimately destroys Ukraine energy infrastructure to force the population to relocate elsewhere (for their own safety) and to reduce effectiveness of Ukraine military. Ukraine follows much the same course against Russia, but particularly against Russian civilian areas with no military connection – but with less success due to inferior and less accurate western weaponry.
Point#3: No mention is made of the fact that the Trump-Putin phone call was initiated by President Putin – a brilliant move – to forestall any provision of US Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, prior to the Trump-Zelensky hastily scheduled meeting. That worked exactly as planned. Trump shuns Zelensky’s request. He will go home empty handed.
Point#4: “In recent months, Mr Trump has repeatedly expressed frustration with his inability to end the war. Many expert observers suspect Mr Putin is stringing his American counterpart along while negotiating in bad faith.”
Trump simply has no power to end this war. Only Russia will end it – when they are ready and have achieved their goals. The West’s complete inability or wilful blindness, to see that, is all that is holding up a peaceful settlement. There is no bad faith in the way Putin is playing his western opponents. They are just not in the same league as he is. They cannot beat Russia on the battlefield, so they just need to agree with Russia’s demands.
Point #5: “Who would think I did the Middle East before I did this?”
Trump has achieved nothing of lasting importance in the Middle East and still has a lot to lose there.
Point#6: “I did actually say [to Mr Putin], ‘Would you mind if I gave away a couple of thousand Tomahawks to your opposition?'”
The US does not have a ‘couple of thousand Tomahawks’ to give away (or sell) to anyone. They could at best provide 20-50 missiles of older manufacture, plus a few launchers. That is not enough for even one effective strike against Russia. Does Trump not know that Russia already knows this? Well, I guess he does now, since the Putin phone-call has called his bluff.
Point#7: “The language of strength and justice will inevitably work against Russia as well (as the Middle East).”
Pure bunkum on Trump’s part. The west may be fooled, but Russia is never going to bow to that sort of nonsense.
I could say more, but the rest of the article is about sanctions, sanctions, sanctions. How boring.
