Pragmatic Climate Heroes: Mastering the Art of Paying Lip Service to Climate Goals While Doubling Down on Fossil Fuels

That’s the way to do it. Beat the alarmists at their own game – deception and lies.

Here’s a quote from the linked article I share as the basis of this report…

Despite promises of net-zero emissions and green energy transitions, the global appetite for fossil fuels remains insatiable. Countries like China and India have mastered the art of paying lip service to climate goals while doubling down on oil, natural gas and coal, and now others are following their lead.

Choosing the Positive Reality of Hydrocarbons Over ‘Green’ Fantasies – Guest Essay by Vijay Jayaraj on Watts Up With That? – August 16, 2025

There is nothing much more to say on this subject, so I am fully content to simply report the case. It is simply realised as a need for common sense thinking – which is really a firm basis for the emerging ‘pragmatism’.

But it gladdens me to see, and it is also quite revealing that the larger enlightened nations of the BRICS community are aligned with this pragmatic approach – the only sensible way to progress. And it is no smirch on their integrity that they resort to this duplicity since, in this way, they are blithely meeting and beating the deception of the equally (or more) duplicitous alarmist institutions and governmental authorities.

Let me end this piece with another short quote from the WUWT article…

The LaLa Land of the green climate industrial complex is nice to contemplate over a glass of chardonnay, but nobody wants to live there.
