If you were alive between six and seven thousand years ago (during or prior to Pre-Dynastic Egypt), or around four thousand years ago (the Bronze Age), or even two thousand years ago (the peak of the Roman Empire), you would know that the warmish period in which we now live (for just a while longer – it’s due to end soon) is nothing to worry about or begin to upend our lives, or even break into a sweat about. This sort of climate is a perfectly normal routine occurrence for planet Earth. Let me say it clearly…
THERE IS NO CLIMATE EMERGENCY.
And if we go back even further than that, say to 120,000 years ago (the Eemian Period), or 330,000 years ago (the Holsteinian Period), with many slightly lesser intermediate peaks, the same pattern also occurred as we see in the current Holocene Period in which we now live.
Moreover, during some of those earlier and more recent periods, Earth’s average temperatures were slightly warmer – up to 1°C warmer than they are today. And during none of those periods of history was there any form of human industrialisation. What can we conclude from that? Whatever it is that has led us to believe that we live in a time of some sort of climate emergency, is utterly wrong. Moreover, it may even be deceitful or, eventually, harmful – if allowed to continue to influence what we do.
What is that possibly deceitful and harmful thing? It is of course modern climate science.
The knowledge that modern climate science is largely based on human-inspired, man-made, computer modelling techniques, should go a fair way toward a self-driven formulation of your own personal opinions on the subject. Real climate data (as it unfolds over time), is largely ignored or tailored to fit into the modelled variety. Ask yourself – why?
I have neither the time nor the desire to explain why that should be the chosen measure of a phenomenon which affects us all. You are capable of doing that for yourself. I just implore you to not be taken in, as one of the unwary, by the junk data which is being spewed out by authorities, for their own ends and agendas, to be consumed by a world which is largely too beset by other problems of life to see the real situation for themselves. Don’t be a mushroom. Seek the light.
