Coup: highly successful stroke or act

Just as a placeholder, I want to say I just now read on TASS that President Putin is organising a first ever Russian-Arab Summit in Moscow in October this year, in conjunction with the king of Bahrain. I assume, though details are scant just now, that this would have broader scope than just that Arab nation.

I wish the project well, but it seems to me that getting the disparate Arab community to agree on anything, is a bit like herding cats.

It is also close to treading on Donny Boy’s toes, don’t you think? He’s not going to like that one bit. I expect Mr Putin will be steering them toward BRICS.

It is all a bit mind-blowing as to the possibilities. And he is the man, to bring it on, if anything purposeful is to emerge from it.

What a year this is becoming.
