Emotional Strain? Yes, well, Old Donald Has Certainly Suffered a Lot of Stressful News Lately. It Must be Hard When Your Dreams Come Crashing Down, Like That.

Earlier, late last week, came the full realisation that there was nothing he could do about Russia (if only some others could come to the same conclusion, soon, as well) and that has been followed up now by his deputy saying the same thing. That has got to be hard. Aren’t your team supposed to support and reassure you when you are feeling pain?

It must be heartbreaking to know that your ‘America First’ dream is never going to happen. So, what can you do? Well, I guess you could pretend that ‘America First’ really meant you wanted to place America, and its people (all of them – not just international corporates and a few of the filthy rich), in first position when trying to sort out your many problems – like debt, inflation, internal terrorism (crime and corruption), national health (and all the associated evils which are dragging that down), an overly-costly and unmanageable government, and an out of control military-industrial-complex, so much last-century, crumbling infrastructure – many of which portfolios must be hiding under decades-old dust and cobwebs. It shouldn’t take much to convince your people that is what you really meant by ‘America First’ by looking more at those things, rather than trying to promote America to ‘Top Dog’ position in World Affairs which, having wasted your only premier century virtually destroying any hope of that with profligate military spending, which in any case was to no effect at all on your position in the world of nations – and in fact served only to isolate and humiliate your country in the eyes of that world. Nobody is afraid of you any more, because they all realise tha byou are now a hollow shell, possibly incapable of resurrecting your situation to some level of normalcy and decency.

If that is what you really meant and really want (I’m talking about you most recent realisation), then it is going to take a superhuman effort to achieve that under current world conditions where the winds of change and a possibly civilisation-ending climax are bearing down on all of us. But, make some effort towards that goal, and I’m sure you will find some helping hands from around the world, willing to give assistance to ensure you do not finally go under. Instead, meeting the challenges of the age alongside the rest of us. It is, I’m afraid, your only hope of salvaging something of your nation.
