Actually, I don’t know if Russia has ‘squeaked’ at this time, even though I do try to keep up with current news. But, anyway, ‘insistance’ is not appropriate in this case and, in fact, to say that China ‘insists’ is technically incorrect.

What China did say, was “China expresses grave concern” and “China urges”, rather than ‘insisting’. A more measured and thoughtful response to the US news. Which may also be why Russia has not so far responded at all – to my knowledge.

The chances of the US building, or even planning to build, an effective space-based defense shield in three years, or even in 30 years are zero + zilch. Heck! They can’t even supply AUKUS submarines in that time (the 30 years), if ever. And it is unlikely that they will even obtain – from their own resources – even a ground-based hypersonic missile (anything less would be futile – as Israel’s ‘Dome’ has proven), before they actually bankrupt themselves and fall into ruin from their woeful efforts to MAGA. And, of course, they have no idea what else Russia has tucked up its sleeve for future issue.
And, just for good measure, what possesses the US to even think it has a right to even propose taking its current deluded policies of aggression beyond the planet’s atmospheric boundaries. I guess that is because they are of course, mostly mental pygmies, dressed in nice suits.
I think the world is now relatively safe from further US aggression. Which means the US tethered chihuahuas will also need to refrain from yapping. I also detect some of those minions are already looking for a new and safer home.
The world is changing, and while it may take some time to rearrange itself fully into a new era of peace and prosperity, we can all try harder to add our voices in support of that to our various governments in hope of bringing that closer. They will have to eventually get the picture.
