Trump, the Chump, who thinks he is guided by Divine appointment, has set himself up for failure. I don’t feel sorry for him, this is what he wanted, but it will not turn out his way. He is going to flunk it.
Trump has insufficient competentcy, or influence, or power, to ever gain either a cease fire or peace deal in Ukraine. Eventually of course he’s going to have a hissy-fit and blow a gasket or something, or simply walk away from the problem. But he can’t do that either. It would interfere with his plans for China, and of course, Ukraine will eventually be wiped out, reduced to ruins. and scrapped. Devoid of human population – apart from the lands Russia can usefully use, which will become Russian lands for ever – including all of their remaining resources. That’s the best ending for this schemozzle we can hope for. Far worse options are pushing for prime position.
I’m not sure that anyone in the world, including the Russian leadership (though my hopes, reliant on faith in a better future, are that they, at least, do), fully understands what is going on here. Sometimes, by their messaging, I have faith in the Russian intent. At other times, it is not so clear. I have tried to explain this situation a number of times in the past and I will try to do so again.
The situation in Ukraine will not be ended with a peace deal. That is an impossibility. It will end when only one combatant (of a great many) is left standing on the field. It is a fight to the death. Had you realised that? Consider it! There can be no alternative. Well… I do allow for one alternative… No-one is left standing… and nothing left to fight for.
But I have confidence that will not happen.
It could happen that only Ukraine has to die. But that depends on the good sense of all the other parties. Which does not provide much hope for reason to prevail.
No-one wants to die, although many are prepared to die for a cause. And there is only one noble cause worthy of dying for. A peaceful and secure life (as far as possible, in a turbulent universe which has the power to negate any cause) for all who remain, after such peace and security is assured.
There is only one party currently involved in this conflict, which claims that noble cause as their own. That party is the Russian Federation (backed by various like-minded friends but fighting mostly alone so far). All other parties – and there are many – are simply out, with schemes of their own, to achieve their own ends in a world where they (within their own tiny minds) are the supreme global authority.
This represents a dichotomy of thinking. Only one side can win. There can be no half measures. Neither side will give ground, they cannot afford to (it would mean obliteration). And so, as I suggested earlier, this contest, this essential contest, will go on until there is no reason left for it to continue. Which, conceivably could be – last man standing.
Had you considered that? Has it even entered your mind? Yes? Good! That shows you are on the right track.
So, here’s the way I am thinking…
Trump’s country will be destroyed, in fact it must be destroyed, for the good of the world. Otherwise this will just keep going on and on for ever. There is no point in expecting the US population to change anything about their country because, basically, it is what they want too. All the other nations of the world, at least those who have the ability and means to raise modern armed forces or to send men to be trained to use modern arms, will align with one side or the other. It will eventually embrace the whole world in its fury.
If nukes are used at some point, it will still go on, until one side or other capitulates in full surrender or only one side remains. Life will recover eventually, because not all life will be destroyed – even in a nuclear outcome. And, at some stage, another human civilisation will begin again. This is likely to have happened several times before in Earth’s history, since the original gods of our time – in the writings of their times so far discovered and translated – claimed to possess nuclear or nuclear equivalent weapons (which inevitably they used in the land they occupied in the Middle East), having left no traces (at least so far discovered) of the passing of their earlier times. That is just one possible version of their storyline. There are others.
Am I dreaming? Definitely not. This, I see clearly. If it doesn’t go this way now, it will eventually do so – in another decade or maybe a century, give or take. Mankind is too stupid for conditions to arise where it would not be necessary as such a form of ending. It would have happened long before in our own civilisation, and has on a smaller scale, but swords and spears or firearms and cannon, do not have the destructive power of arms now available to man. Men having once again developed to a stage where some see themselves as some form of god.
I have long been convinced of these thoughts, but today I read something in a Simplicius piece which raised the matter to forefront of mind once more. He reported a comment on his substack by a Russian Officer (assumed to be legit.). This quote is part of that report, and in large part mirrors my own opinion…
Now we are at war directly with the Ukrops. The others, although they have put their stinking paws, mostly indirectly. Under the new arrangement it will be different.
Ready or not ready… We’re already at war. And the initiative is on our side. Mobilisation, too. Mobilisation, at worst. They are also not ready as they will be in a couple of years when they are prepared and stockpile, introduce conscription, etc.
The Ukes have a shortage of personnel right now, b/c of that. Gotta get to the bottom of it. Take off the rose coloured glasses! We are tired too, but they are more tired. All the more reason for us to squeeze.
Otherwise, the guys who are dead won’t forgive us. Neither will those who stood up for the country in 1941-1945. We weren’t ready then either, and we were also dead tired, but we stood to the end. And walked to the end. Had we not made it then, what next? Something like “The Unthinkable”, including the Wehrmacht, which had regained its fighting capacity? And what would have been our losses then? Especially if the British and Germans, etc. from Europe, and the Pindos from the Far East….
…Let the Koreans get involved. And not only. We must finish this hydra. Otherwise, instead of one head, several new ones will grow.
Russia and anti-Russia will not exist in parallel. This stage has already passed. It’s either them or us. There is no place for us in this world at the same time. The youth of b/Ukraine are being prepared for war from childhood. Our destruction is on the Ukrops’ banners now. They will use everything in case of a truce. Including the fifth column, and the sixth (migrants), and, as in the Soviet Union, they will divide the peoples and nationalities of our country by provocations, etc. There can be no way back and ‘jumping in place’.”

[Puzzled by the word ‘Pindos’? I have used it only once previously. It is a pejorative, used by Russians, exclusively I believe, for Americans.]
Reading that comment got me thinking, and led to this new post. Is this how our story will end? Civilisational decay is already apparent. Evil men and evil forces have long dominated. There are stinks and stains about humanity these days. If we can end that by appropriate means, we should. And if not, well…
Maybe it’s time for a new start, new faces, new goals, new dreams. A clean sheet.
