Double Standards Feature High in Australia

Today, April 25, is ANZAC Day in Australia. Perhaps still the most important annual event for Australians. It Commemorates the Struggle and sacrifice of both Australian and New Zealand soldiers operating together as part of Commonwealth Forces during the First World War as the Australia New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC).

Today also, at the early morning Dawn Service, which marks the day across all large cities and towns around the country, was marred in the city of Melbourne by booing and heckling of aboriginal elders (who are always present at thes occasions) by a small group of Neo-Nazis. The leader of this group was escorted away by police and will be charged. He has just spent a month in jail for related offences.

‘Neo-nazis’ boo Welcome to Country address at Melbourne Anzac Day dawn service – ABC News – April 25, 2025

And what a powerful address by Uncle Mark Brown (note that name) of the Bunurong and Gunditjmara peoples. I would like to see this man as Prime Minister of Australia and I would readily vote for him as an independent Parliamentarian. His courage and steadfastness in the face of the sickening heckling by Neo-Nazis is exactly the leadership material Australia sorely needs.

This act was rightly condemned by government, but that condemnation is but a sickening other side of the coin to their cooperation with and military aid to the other major featuring and prominent Nazi culture operating and governing in Ukraine. I should add – operating and governing under both US and European approval and support – without which, including support from Australia, the Ukraine conflict would have never got to the point it now has reached. The impending destruction of Ukraine. The war is virtually over, and Russia has won. Trump has no say in how or when that winds down.

And that is the most troubling aspect of this whole situation. The whole of the West is still, and unbelievably, but unsuccessfully, assisting the attempted rise once again of European Nazism. Not just Australia, but the whole West is engaged in the most hypocritical action you could imagine. Why?

I will tell you why. It is because they simply hate Russia. Why do they hate Russia? Because Russia has proven unbeatable by the West and Russia is rich in all valuable resources the West covets for its own. And one last thing, Russia is truly independent from the West, and will not be bought, seduced, or conquered into subservience to the West. So, it is simply really. The West wants Russia, but can’t have it. And so they must destroy it. At least that is the way they think. And that will eventually destroy them. They are on the brink of destruction right now. They have virtually bankrupted themselves and at the same time neutralised and made their militaries ineffective against Russia, which in any case has many other friends on her side. She has developed military weapons the West has all but given up hope of ever possessing, has built a well rounded and powerful military force, now hardened by conflict, and arguably the best in ther world. Russia also has a booming economy, self-contained to a very high rate in all that it needs to continue to bloom, and is in the process of organising – with a group of other powerful economies (including China) – a new global organisation based on individual national sovereignty of members towards a fairer world order. BRICS+ now covers approximately half of the world’s population and GDP, with many nations lining up to gain membership.

So, you can guarantee – There Will Always Be A Russia, and Russia shall be free, and play a prominent role in world affairs. Where the West will be as this unfolds, is quite unclear. But the West’s most prominent and dominant century is over.

Oh, and Russia will this time, before the Ukraine conflict ends (which incidentally is entirely in Russia’s hands), ensure the threat of Nazism to the world is well and truly buried under the sands of time, in Europe, and hopefully everywhere.

What better opportunity for the West to make amends to the world than to share in that destruction alongside Russia. It is an opportunity the West should not refuse. It is also, should that not arise (making the future of the West even more bleak), an opportunity for my country – Australia – to unilaterally make that break itself, and move towards a better future as part of Asia. Go on, you know you want to.

Anyone who expresses such a view will get my vote in the upcoming election next week. No-one qualifies for that right now, but…

What could be more liberating? What could be more Australian?

What else could save us from our Fascist leanings?
