Of course Russia has a clear conscience. They are a conscientious people, dedicated to truth, proper behaviour, and the noble cause of their nation throughout its long history. Any opinion running contrary to that statement carries the lingering stench of the abject depravity of Western media or cultural manipulation.
I have just watched the 91 minutes interview (which I mentioned yesterday) given by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, on Monday, I think. He was answering questions from two American bloggers and a third person with what seemed to me to be an Irish accent, of whom I have no knowledge – nor any inclination to discover. Present also was the charming, but tough as nails, FM Spokesperson, Mariah Zakharova. The interview was conducted entirely in English.
In my opinion, Mr Lavrov laid bare the heart and soul of Russia on mainly the subject of the history and current status of the Ukraine affair. Openly and honestly, without any form of pretence. I know the Americans were impressed, probably expecting nothing less. What the third guy thought, who cares?
I share the occasion through Larry Johnson’s blog report – which contains the full 91 minute interview – for your reading (and viewing) pleasure…

You will see that the interviewers did not need to ask many questions. FM Lavrov is quite used to giving open and broad-ranging answers to such queries.
