TALK! Talk! talk. End the Talk, Let Them Slog It Out on the Battlefield. That’s the ONLY Way it Will End Anyway – With a Beaten West.

And it will end more quickly that way than through any peace talks – if the US really ends its weapons support, that is.

The West (and no, it is not just the EU) is already beaten. They don’t seem to be able to acknowledge that yet, but it is a perfectly obvious conclusion. Drawn from the fact that they continually issue statements which they have no hope of backing up. Fairy dust does not work in these cases. Neither do lies.

Ukraine is on its last legs (that’s human legs, incidentally) and cannot stagger on without US assistance (the crucial thing) for much longer. Ukraine can still do some damage to Russia, but the more they do, the quicker their own lifeblood is sacrificed, to no purpose – and for no gain. Such bloody ‘heroics’ are entirely beyond any form of approval (if enacted by choice or misplaced valor) or forgiveness (if by coercion).

The US, is virtually bending over backwards to placate Russia (that’s their public facing aspect anyway). The US cannot afford to lose (despite that public face) and so their new, more amenable position, is quite unbelievable. And if Russia really believes them to be wanting peace, then Russia has real problems. They, the US, have other plans, of course they do – they always have. And to my mind, the US has not adequately demonstrated a realistic tossing out of their ‘agreement incapable’ moniker. And they certainly have very little to bargain with, or threaten – militarily or economically. Otherwise they would have already used it. Their contributions to Western efforts so far, have been – what’s the word – less than convincing of a solid argument. I think they know they’ve lost already. Hence less of the fading bombast, more of the conciliation.

And so Russia really only has one way to go. They also cannot afford to lose. Lose, and they cease to exist. So, they must fight on, to victory. Which is really only a hairsbreadth away – no matter how long that takes, and no matter what anyone else says (whether from inside the arena or outside). Russian bravery (and that is demonstrated every day, throughout this conflict) has no part with ‘bravado’ – which is merely a show. Russians are fighting for the very existence and retained memory of their nation and culture. No other combatants (legitimate or mercenary) can, in all honesty, make the same claim.

Is that a simple enough appraisal of the situation? It’s all mine. My observations. I don’t need the support of others to make any of those statements. There are really no other worthwhile considerations to be made, that I can see.
