Trump’s World

Please don’t believe for one second that I might think the world is going to belong to Trump. I don’t. In fact I think he is going to have a hard landing somewhere along the line, and that may turn out to be not too much in the future. But among the growing Razzle-Dazzle and Razzamatazz of two months of inauguration fever, which reached a crescendo today, Jan 21st where I am, and is scheduled to gradually wind down to a murmur over coming weeks, interspersed by the occasional loud outburst as some radical event emerges, would lead any casual observer to believe that something important to world affairs is going on. That may be the case of course, we just don’t know at this time. So much has been said, and much of it total nonsense.

And out of the mostly ‘US Domestic’ pronouncements made today – actually yesterday now (where I am) – there are only two really standout points. Both of which I am totaLLY IN FAVOUR OF. [Hmm… I did not intend part of that to be capitalised but after an ‘a’ (which is far too close to the Caps lock button) that is always a danger. Anyway, it seems not to be out of place there, so I will leave it.]

The first such announcement was to pull the US out of the dreadful Paris Climate Agreement – which was designed purely to hamstring global commerce and provide vast amounts of profit for those who love such gain to come their way, from mandated climate action ideas which could be milked for all they were worth for years to come, while everyone else bought into them and consequently suffered needlessly. Think EVs, Wind turbines, PV power generation, voluntary recycling, among others.

There is absolutely no reason for a Paris Climate Agreement to have been even considered. It would never have worked in any case. If the world was in fact in danger from climate effects, that agreement would have been totally useless in preventing any catastrophic outcomes. It is simply a pretense at doing something while actually doing something else totally unrelated to climate. Not that climate is an issue anyway. I was going to write something more on that here, but I will leave it for another day. Just be aware that the fictitious global heating calamity was always another scam. There is nothing to fear from a few warm years in recent times, at a time when there were supposed to be a few warmer years. But such times are now almost over. I have written extensively on that subject over the past year or more, if you care to look back.

The Paris Climate Agreement was the single most drastic scam to be perpetrated on the world – at the time. It has been superseded since, of course, by the COVID scam. Oh, I’ve just been reminded of the ‘Forever Wars’ scam which sits way above everything else. And I hope Trump is going to do something about that too. As he is tentatively doing about COVID – but under the wrong pretext. Which is tending towards steering blame for countless murders and injuries away from the US. Wrong.

The second announcement I can back as being useful globally is to take the US out of the WHO. I am not familiar with Trump’s reasons for taking that decisive action but since the US is the biggest contributor to yhe funding of the WHO, there is a good chance that that organisation will not be able a) to functiuon at the level to which it has in the past, and b) will not have the capability (illegally assumed, I think) to dictate to the world how it must act in relation to global health issues. As far as I am aware, the WHO was set up as a service body to alert the world on health issues which might affect all. I don’t believe it was ever intended to become a governing body to dictate global health action – thus overriding national health bodies. Such activity is not what the UN is about.

So, Trump does not want any global authority to be able to overrule US government authorities. And rightly so. Every nation on Earth should also make that a goal, or in fact a matter of principle. This does not preclude, of course, the US government aim to eventually have overriding control of all other world governments. In other words the US wants, in fact believes it to be its rightful destiny, to rule the world. That is something the whole world must ensure never happens.

And so the circus rolls along. Expect more clown acts, trip overs, and occasional feature items. There is a big hole, somewhere over the next hill for the troupe to fall into. Or perhaps even a cliff.
