Who cares? Not me. In fact that consideration has nothing to do with why I do the things I do (which is write about non-trendy things). No matter. Because why I do the things I do, operates on a much higher plane of reason than just simply being ‘trendy’. I really believe in the things I write about.
I really believe in the rightness and justice of everything that Russia does and China does, and generally in all things of a BRICSy nature. And I see nothing of value in most of what the small and rapidly diminishing sector of humanity known as ‘the West’ does and stands for. The odds are entirely ‘in my favour’, whether or not that is visible to most folk just yet.
I am equally committed to opposing the current trend on climate issues, believing the world has nothing to fear or even be perturbed about the planet’s always and only ever gradually changing climate. Which, incidentally, always (yes, always) only operates within its naturally set bounds. Anyone with any true understanding of nature, would know that it could only ever do that. The only determinants which may intervene to obviate the self-sustaining situation of planetary life are potential, in fact eventually inevitable, exogenous (external) cosmic intrusions. Our ‘world’ being merely a system within a system within a system and perhaps further systemic layers, all of which presumably possess some measure of closure at their own level. Nothing from within our own world system (including ourselves), other than the natural breakdown of all physical systems, could possibly obviate or even achieve a planned or unplanned break in that process. We tend to over-credit and/or uselessly blame ourselves for having the capability of doing either of those things. I hope that makes sense. Read it again if it doesn’t, at first glance.
There is therefore actually nothing there ‘to’ fear – other than the reasons why the West (yes, again, ‘the west’) should have expended so much effort to convince the world that there is. What are they playing at? What is their aim? The main reason for my taking this position being that the West’s position is entirely without the backing of real, and solid, ‘Science’.
Ok. Now I can get to why I started this post today…
I have tried to explain in the past, why it is that I more or less ignore any messaging about dangerous ice melt conditions occurring in the Southern polar regions, which basically centers around the fact that Antarctic ice formed millions of years before there was any ice at the other end of the Earth’s central pole of rotation. The assumption for my stand on this being that if the Southern ice (which is also largely land-based) formed at much higher temperatures than was the case for Northern ice (mostly sea-based), then it stands to reason that it will not melt or otherwise disappear until long after Northern ice has gone – if that should ever actually happen.
My position has been strengthened by a recent study which declares that the 2017 calving of a huge ice-berg from the Larsen C Ice-shelf – the cause of much concern in scientific circles, passed along to much of the world’s societal circles as resulting from drastic climate changes to which we should divert major attention and sweeping changes in human behaviour patterns, was in fact of little to no concern at all – just normal climate activity. We were fooled by unscrupulous actors, for reasons of their own making, as we have been around similar global events for the same reasons.
Hey Media, Remember in 2017 When an Iceberg in Antarctica Freaked You Out? Science now says: ‘Never Mind’ – Watts Up With That? – 21 December 2024
There is nothing unusual about climate today when compared with climate activity in the past (or the future) for hundreds of millions of years. To raise such concerns as outlined above is a scam of major proportions.
‘Antarctic Calving Events: Natural Variability vs. Climate Alarmism’ – Watts Up With That? – 16 December 2024
In any case, and all other issues aside, the calving and/or melting of part of the West Antarctic ‘Ice Shelf’ – due to the very nature of ‘ice shelves’ – is such that it would, or will, have no effect on the global sea level, since (being a ‘shelf’) it was already floating on water and its water displacement effect having already occurred, would add or remove no rise or fall in actual sea level. That, all of it, is nice to know.
