I always read – though (it has to be said) I do not like the man – Andrei Martyanov’s posts on his Smoothiex12 blog.
Mostly – though I may tacitly agree with his pieces, and respect his past experience – I cannot use what he writes about for one reason or another. But today, what he wrote yesterday, rang so true to my way of thinking, that I was compelled to offer it here to share with readers. I wholeheartedly agree with everything he says in this piece and, to my understanding, it concisely encompasses and explains everything that has happened on the global scale throughout my life-span (I was born in early 1945).
The Russian Special Military Operation, begun in what was Ukraine almost three years ago, has morphed over those years into something much more than that. It has become an existential fight of goodness and truth over the worst aspects of humanity embodied in the nations of the combined west. Much of the world does not yet understand that. And while it is quite obvious now, that this is almost over for Ukraine, it is not generally realised this will never be over for Russia until the whole of the combined west is sunk and rendered (if it continues to exist at all) into something which can no longer pose a threat to mankind – no matter how long it takes for that to be accomplished. Russia, backed now by a majority of the global population, has the means to achieve that goal. That will be amply shown during the upcoming BRICS Summit in Kazan. The west trembles (as it should) at the prospect.
That is what Martyanov writes about. It is not a long piece, but, if you want to understand the current confusion and chaos in the world we live in today, it is well worth the read. I recommend it to you.
