German Chancellor Olaf Scholz arrived in China today, or perhaps yesterday (it wasn’t the biggest news of the day) and gave the whole world a laugh. He was met at the airport by the Deputy Mayor of Chongqing in an underwhelming welcome. The Chinese know a thing or two about International Diplomacy.
