One of Those Well-Meaning Mistakes About ‘Global Warming’ That is Actually True

I found this today on The Automatic Earth site, down at the bottom of today’s posting where all the cute and funny animal vids reside. It’s very important and it made me think. You can see it in this image and you can hear it if in the ‘X’ (Twitter) post, if you start the video by clicking on the image.

Look for the phrase – “There is NO significant Global Warming now,…”

Contrary to popular opinion, this statement is actually true. It still stands true, even though it is acknowledged that Global Mean Surface Temperatures (GMST) – the most reliable measure of Earth average global temperatures – have risen by some 5-6°C from around 9°C some 11,700 years ago to the present ~14.7°C. That is a fact taken from the scientific record. But it is not a fact which carries any pertinence to the statement ‘There is NO significant Global Warming now’. Let me explain why that is so.

The GMST, being a Mean (a statistical term for ‘average’) is constructed from actual and more or less simultaneous (taken at the same time) temperature readings, thousands and thousands of them at many locations on the surface of the planet, many times a day and every day of the year. Scientists go to a lot of trouble and effort to do that data collection task, all day, every day. That is why there are no more important scientific results on global temperature available to us. Of course we have only been able to achieve such accuracy in recent decades with the growth of data recording technology. In times past, at least up to several hundreds of million years ago, there was no such technology, and no educated human forms to use it if there were. But we can look back all that time due to the natural laying down of temperature records within the fabric of Earth surface layers. Scientists – and this is what they do best, they were never meant to build things like ‘ipads’, injectable fluids falsely labeled as ‘vaccines’, or nuclear bombs – found ways to extract from the Earth records, data of sufficient value to record, for our use, approximate temperature records which can extend our picture of Earth heating and cooling covering all of relevant planetary history – some 500 million years. And this is how we know the truth about climate history. What we know is indisputable. There are no other records of time past. And these records, merged with our current technology-based findings comprise our complete knowledge of the planet’s climate history. At least on temperature matters, which is perhaps the major acknowledged forcing of climate variances. It presents us with a cogent picture. A full picture, which no modern, financed and corrupt interference from wealthy industrialists or ideologues in government, business, religion, or any other direction that would attempt to suborn the scientific record to their own unlawful and despotic aims, can be allowed to obtain.

So, what does the GMST temperature record tell us? It tells us that over the past 500 million years the Earth has gone through periods of high and low temperatures but never in all that time has it exceeded a top mean temperature of 30°C or fallen below around a mean of 9°C, even at its most extreme climate variances. So you see, there is nothing to worry about with temperature variances. It’s all natural. It’s all within bounds. And there are no reasons to suspect those bounds are about to be broken. The misguided concept of ‘Man-Made’ Climate Change’ is a complete fallacy – made up by those who couldn’t find a valid argument to lodge against the scientific temperature records.

I pre-decided that was all I was going to say here. If you want to know more, find it yourself. I have conveniently, over the past 9 months, written a considerable body of evidence here, in past posts, which shows any thoughts of climate emergency to be absolute nonsense.

There is just one more thing to say. The statement ‘There is NO significant Global Warming now’, made by John Coleman, a scientist and weather expert, is actually true. I have just shown why. Here is a clarifying statement from me.

Even though the Earth has just undergone an 11,700 year period of rising temperatures (5-6°C), this is all part of the 120,000 year cycling of temperature changes. We are at the top of the latest cycle which began with the ending of the last ice-age and the beginning of the latest cycle (not necessarily the first) of human civilisation. We are now scheduled for a gradual falling of mean temperatures by that same amount of 5-6°C, back to mini or major ice-age conditions.

Meanwhile, the Earth continues, after a series of other much larger temperature cycling – which I mentioned earlier to be within ~9°C-30°C with its now some 100 million year old fall to the bottom level of that slope. A big freeze is probably due – but not in our lifetimes, or those of any number of future descendants you may care to envisage.

Cheer up. Live your life. Be, as far as possible, free.
