Good Geo-Political/Economic Information From Recent Online Videos

If you read my posts here with any regularity, you will be aware that I do not hold the Russia Today site (RT) with any high degree of repute. It seems to me to occupy a roughly similar role to that which the western gutter press in the printed news world does. Of course that is much higher than such equivalent Western online news-sites are rated, but still not descriptive as trustworthy.

But, and it is a big ‘but’, Scott Ritter, the US online news correspondent and a man with considerable notable other expertise relevant to today’s world, is an entirely different matter. He, I hold in high regard, due mostly, I think, both to that expertise and also based on his recent communications, whether written -like what follows, below – and also his presence and demeanor in online geo-political and military interviews, since he stepped into that highly volatile ring. Why exactly Ritter has chosen to write for RT is not known to me, but I suspect it is in an attempt by powerful Russians (who obviously also recognise his experience, skills, non-hostile intentions and unbiased situational understanding) to elevate the reputation of RT, that his involvement with the government sponsored brand, has been fostered. Such a resurrection may be possible through such connections and it is sorely needed.

So, I heartily recommend this piece to anyone who wants to keep up with important international developments of geo-economic and geo-political relevance. It is the ‘bees-knees’ of all that, though not the first such piece to be published, if my memory serves me well.

I don’t want to comment further on that. The value of the content to you, is for you to decide, but I do want to recommend one other recent online interview. This comes with yet another distinct recommendation from myself. This is quite a long interview, but the host, Danny Haiphong, is one of the best and he knows exactly when to allow his guests the reins to say much more than they would if constantly interrupted by less skilled hosts. This is also really good information and this time it comes from Pepe Escobar who most recently featured at sessions of the World Youth Festival. I think you will find parts of that conversation most interesting and thought provoking.

Expect a lot to happen this year, or rather not ‘to happen’ but ‘to occur’. Important things do not just ‘happen’. They ‘occur’, or ‘roll out’ if you prefer.

Who is this Danny Haiphong, you may ask? Well, he’s not some young, fresh, know-nothing, up-start trying to make a name for himself online. He is a presenter of some experience, from the US, who has delivered a speech to the UN Security Council last year (September 2023). As well as possessing remarkable online hosting skills and thorough geo-political knowledge, he can deliver a good speech himself. I rate this young man to be among the top such professionals.
