The Australia Question: Dump AUKUS or Lose Military Sovereignty?

A question faces Australians, who are known to be lovers of freedom as well as democracy. If they continue to be part of the AUKUS group of nations they will need to sign away any form of national sovereignty for military technology to the US.

Is this what Australians want? Or is it just the cravings of a weak government, trapped, enthralled, and bending over backwards to a puppet-master?
