This was not meant to be a subscript to my previous post. It just happened to turn out that way. But it does give me the opportunity to voice my utter contempt for the baseless accusations of one Mr James Howard Kunstler in his latest article this week. Against my better judgement I am going to link to it – otherwise you may not understand what I am talking about and, as usual, there is much written there that I can agree with. It is such ashame that he has once again blotted his copybook (does anyone remember that old phrase?) with his indelicate anti-China rhetoric and also, for the first time (although it is relatively new), the recently elected Brazilian (Brasilian) government of President Lula da Silva. It is such a shame that Kunstler is plagued with such a blind-spot in this regard. He appears quite unable to distinguish between the evil and decidedly criminal activities of the US ‘leftist’ cretins of the DNC (which he has justifiably trashed for long years, as they systematically destroyed his country – not that they were on their Jack Jones in that escapade [you remember that old phrase too, I hope] – and not that the terms ‘left’ and ‘right’ now hold any definable meaning in political thought), and both the legitimate and morally justified workings of both the Chinese Communist Party (perhaps the only real party of the people, anywhere) together with Lula da Silva’s people who have not been given a chance yet to establish themselves to begin the task of rebuilding that which Jair Bolsonaro’s authoritarian thugs have smashed over however long it has been of his benighted supremo reign in that country.
So, having got that off my chest, and feeling much calmer now it has been said – although not game to read through it again in case I find a need to alter anything (what is said under heightened adrenalin needs to be left as it is, since it will never make any more sense than it did at the time) – here is, as promised, Kunstler’s piece. I will never, even though now in a calmer state, forgive that man enough to recommend his work again. But, to justify my previous points, I will share this piece as promised.
Insurrection Anybody? – JH Kunstler – January 9, 2023
He is especially right on one thing, “It’s going to be a humdinger of a year.”
