Supplementing what I said yesterday but not available until a few hours ago (thanks to the hard work in translation requested by the Saker blog) is a full video of the meeting of President Putin with a group of Russian flight attendants, in which he answers someof their questions. Questions I’m sure a great many people would have wished to put to him. The video is subtitled in English and includes the quote I referred to yesterday as to the fate of Ukraine’s status as a nation.
I consider this essential viewing for anyone who wishes to know the Russian mind on the Ukraine issue.
It is a YouTube video so I don’t believe I am stealing any of Saker’s thunder by embedding it here. I will in any case give a link to his post which includes a full English transcript of the event.
‘Extremely important statements by Putin (MUST SEE!)’ – The Saker blog.
Ever the man to seize the moment, making the most of his opportunities, especially at this crossroads time in human history (yes, all our futures are in the crosshairs), he concludes the meeting with this quote…
“Now I am turning towards the camera. They will see me and hear what I am saying – thank you.”
I will make one comment. Is this the madman the western media has been at pains to portray in recent days? Or is it a man in full control of his faculties, able to keep a cool head in the most trying circumstances, lucidly explaining to what is really the younger generation of the world, exactly why things are the way they are today? And is there anyone in western spheres who could truthfully contradict or deny anything, any single thought or idea he has said there?
You decide, for yourself (during or after watching). That is what this is all about.
