In a recent post I exempted New Zealand from comments on full alignment of that nation with the views and actions of the Five Eyes security alliance. This is not really something new. New Zealand has always been true to and followed its own principles. For a small, geographically isolated nation, that is a laudable position to take.
Juxtaposed with the cowering dog acquiescence of Australia to toeing the Five Eyes line, not to mention the stupidity and co-existent self-harm to Australia’s position and well-being in that act, New Zealand’s independent stand is all the more remarkable.
It seems that others have also noticed this. A new voice, new to me (although, looking back through her history, she has been writing for NEO since 2013), has entered the ring in Sofia Pale, whose NEO bio says: Sofia Pale, PhD in History, Researcher at the Center for Southeast Asia, Australia and Oceania at the Institute of Oriental Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences, exclusively for the online magazine “New Eastern Outlook”.
She currently, and most timely, has this to say…
Is the Western World Losing New Zealand?

There are some truly remarkable people in the world. New Zealand Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, is surely proving to be one of them.
Incidentally, the New Eastern Outlook is freshly back from having its web site massively hacked by those who oppose truthful reporting. See editorial on that here.
The world is not now nor perhaps ever has been free from the influence of forces who would silence the truth. We must continue to broadcast our own reality wherever and however we can, while we can.
