This is a pretty good summary of recent events in the north west of Syria, where the legitimate Syrian government of President Bashar al-Assad now holds 50% of the long terrorist held Idlib province. And the government troops are still advancing to recover the remaining 50% – in spite of the Turkish threat to prevent them from doing so.
This liberation of 28 settlements is just in the last 24 hours.
Backing up this report, here is how Southfront reported yesterday’s events.
“TURKISH-BACKED MILITANTS SUFFER CATASTROPHIC LOSSES IN WESTERN ALEPPO (PHOTOS, VIDEO)” – Southfront
I just want to make it clear (in case there is doubt) the images in that story are of the well prepared but defeated Turkey-backed terrorist forces.
And: “NORTHERN, NORTHWESTERN ALEPPO COMPLETELY SECURED BY SYRIAN ARMY” – Southfront
That pocket I mentioned yesterday has now all but been eliminated.
And now, before the victorious Syrian forces move to close the deal and recover the remaining parts of Idlib, they are opening humanitarian corridors – not for the first time by any means – for any remaining civilians who wish to leave the war zone to the safety of government territory, to do so.
