Russia Prepares for Thicker Northern Ice

There are many myths floating around today, mainly as a result of their easier propagation through the web of cyberspace. One of these myths concerns the false idea that mankind is in some danger from out of control climate change. There is no truth to that premise. There never was. It is all based on the spread of a false image of current climate conditions built from a misleading compression of the history of modern time which is designed to limit the view of the subject, in the minds of a majority of people, to a very minor period of less than 200 years. The most recent 200 years, which has seen a very mild increase of around 1°C in average global temperatures. An amount insignificant in itself and also in relation to the vast history of our planet’s climatology. It is a scam – of major proportions – and a deliberate distortion of the true situation which, as I and others have repeatedly said, is that we live in a cooling world, not a dangerously overheating one.

Russia knows this. But for some unknown reason maintains a similar external view to other nations which still cling to the climate myth. I don’t pretend to understand the reasons for that. But their actions speak louder than their words.

How do I know this is Russia’s core understanding? Because in a world where ice is supposedly melting at an alarming rate (there is no truth to that proposition either), Russia has built a fleet of icebreaker vessels of which no other country has a comparable asset. Not only that, but Russia is currently building a vessel with the unprecedented capability of cutting through over 3 metres in thickness of sea ice.

We know that there is not a great amount of such thick ice remaining in Northern seas as a result of the recent mild but not unprecedented warming. It was, incidentally, warmer than today during brief periods over the last 8-10,000 years and much moreso (I say ‘moreso’, you say ‘more so’; neither is incorrect) even further back in the history of earlier homonins on the planet. But Russia knows that any effect this brief warming has had on Northern sea ice is only temporary in nature, has already been stopped, and before too long the ice will begin to expand again in extent, covering more areas of sea and eventually to spread over the Arctic land barriers. The ice becoming thicker once again, and of much increased volume in the process, as we sink into even cooler times ahead. Cooler by as much as an average 5°C to complete the very normal cycling of minor climate temperature movement across periods numbered mainly in tens of thousands of years (as compared to major climate temperature movements which occur over hundreds of millions of years).

Think what that gradual cooling will mean for potential Northern latitude population movements. Russia, perhaps alone, through possession of good foresight, will be prepared.

What I have reported above is, to the best of my knowledge factual. In this unplanned trailing section, I include just a few thoughts of my own, based on choices which may be open to us. They are not out of place in this discussion since all of them are deeply interrelated in terms of environment (and its distortions), history (and its distortions), science (and its distortions), all of which, without reference to the distortions, builds a coherent depiction of the insignificant role of humanity in the recent life of our planet. Dipping – for reference only – into its extensive past, and projecting the data – based on its largely unalterable universal and star system governed cyclic nature – onto its extensive future.

But bear in mind that the events I describe here, past and future, far exceed the short lives and personal memories of modern humans and perhaps even the expected duration of our species. They are in any case far beyond our modern experience and imagination. Though we tend to forget that our ancient ancestors lived through the ending of the last occurrence of the previous minor climate cycle (we know that last act as the Dryas period – a series of external cosmic interruptions, at the end of which the normal cyclic nature of climate affairs resumed) and they emerged to form the possibly earliest human civilisation of which we are currently aware. That civilisation formed remarkably swiftly – with the outside help of a set of ‘gods’ of flesh and blood who dwelt among them and guided their efforts.

At this point it does not matter whether it was an earlier Earth civilisation which aided our ancestors to grow and build civilisation, or whether it may have been a set of aliens. But we should recognise that there was someone. Some group of benefactors. And we also need to recognise the similarity which is potentially building into our own future role as curators of the planet.

Throughout the long global Winter ahead, do we step up and prepare to relaunch humanity in future warmer time, about 100,000 years from now? Be sure to remember this is not one of those ‘warmer’ times. This is the drooping tail-end of the current cycle, set in the lowest reaches of a more general ‘cooling’ time for the planet, and with the yet to occur temperature range fall of around 5°C (from about 14.5°C down to about 9.5°C average – according to past records). Remember also, there are always warmer climes to be found around the Equatorial and Tropical regions no matter what the global status may be. Earth is never a snowball.

Preparing for a re-launch of a new humanity? We can do that – even as a shrinking species – if we can work together. Or do we waste our time trying to get rich by dominating a shrinking economy which makes, of such endeavours, an impossibility. Or do we leave it up to the aliens once again to intervene? If they even still exist.

Will this be a repeat of our own history of the past 120,000 years? Will we, just a few of us, as the surviving remainder of our own human civilisation engender an entirely new species as the warming begins to come around again? Then will we provide aid to those ‘newbies’ with civilisation building tools, acting as what the new humanity may take to be a family of ‘gods’? Will we disappear again at an appropriate time, from the scene? Leaving the new people to fend for themselves – as we once were? And will they invent a ‘one-god’ baby’s pacifier dummy to replace the hole in their lives left by our departure – as we once did?

Our species will not live for ever. None do. And we are a particularly weak and maladapted life-form for conditions on this planet. If we can, shouldn’t we be looking at helping human life to continue here in a future that is unlikely to mimic the one where we, the old model, once were dominant?

This is what I consider to be some semblance of our own history projected onto a clean and unmarked canvas of future prospects. The past is all written for posterity in both ancient records from times which hopefully were not so blemished and tarnished by falsehood and deceit as our own. Deceit which began something like 2,500 years ago with the laying down of the Jewish records, based on the earlier stories of either the now lost (not yet found) previous civilisation or the race of aliens – either of which could have been our own progenitors – and followed by the conjuring up of the ‘one god’ myth, which flowed onwards, corrupting both religious, scientific and historical records, and which now holds a large portion of humanity under its spell. Few people now recognise the magnitude of the cover up. That is the greatest crime against humanity ever perpetrated. A crime designed and orchestrated by humans.
