US seeks to create new coalition for Strait of Hormuz — newspaper – TASS – April 30, 2026
Did they not notice – I guess when you are in a blind panic you fail to notice a lot of things – that the EU has already (at least are talking about) attempted to form such a coalition? Ah! I understand now. The US does not recognise anything they themselves did not start. And anyway, that will go nowhere since it depends on some sort of peace deal, which will never be forthcoming.
So, there is no point in the US trying to do essentially the same thing when they are quite unable to succeed by themselves.
There are only two types of nations in the world just now. Well, three if you count Iran in a category by themselves. The other two categories are those who cooperate with Iran, making deals to enable them to continue trafficking through the Strait, and not militarily opposing Iran, and those who refuse to accept Iran’s terms or offer military opposition to them. Those lines are already drawn, although there could still be some leakage from the losers team to the winners as nations find themselves squeezed too tightly for healthy outcome prospects.
That squeezing effect could well be increased in future with the closure of the Suez/Red Sea transport route – which would cause the US fleet to further back off from the region, and with no alternative. I read also today of Trump threatening to use hypersonic weapons against Iran. Has he made a deal with Russia to buy some? Because he has none of his own. That would not happen anyway, so he is just dreaming in delerium again. And that is probably the biggest issue of the day. A madman or at least a very sick man is in charge of the western wing of the politico-military world. Is it so hard for the West to admit defeat? Is it impossible for them to humble themselves at the feet of an upcoming and ancient nation to say “Sorry, we didn’t mean to cause all this trouble, and it won’t happen again”? Because that is what it will take to settle this matter.
The embattled and abused of the world have seized the opportunity – the only time in history it has opened to them, accompanied by the necessary power and capability to enforce it. They are now making a stand, and nothing will deter them from that goal. They must prevail over the barbaric West. Otherwise, and this is the only possible alternative, some form of nasty end awaits all of us.
The West (jointly) will of course need to do the same thing with Russia over Ukraine, and also with China over Taiwan. And maybe a number of other places around the world which the West was never meant to infest.
I think this is called ‘Setting the World to Rights’. And then, as a consequence of this achievement, we may all be able to work together to make this magnificently habitable planet into the dreamworld someone once conceived it to be. A dream which seems to be so far away, if not impossible to realise right now.
Or am I the only remaining dreamer?
