Quite a Headline, no? All I mean by that is that there is no guarantee (or even much hope) the nominal Zionist terrorists will beat the nominal Hamas/Hizbullah terrorists. On paper of course, a tank and jet-plane backed army should win hands down in a contest with a small arms plus RPG equipped army, but never forget who the similarly equipped Taliban shepherds beat in Afghanistan.
There are other factors of course and it needs to be taken into account that both sides have powerful friends and allies. Which, on balance, tends to act as a balance, with an evening out of the odds when the combined west (with the ailing US) is included in that equation on the Zionist side and the bulk of the Islamic world (which incidentally includes Türkiye – in this instance NOT part of NATO) included on the other. But then there are the supremely powerful and largely independent actors, free of binding ties to either side, of Russia and China. Where will their vote fall? I think we already know, and they are both admirably positioned and ready to enforce their view. That threat should be enough to call the US bluff (‘Bluff’ being the only real weapon they have left).
So, realistically, it is already all over bar the next embarrassing stand down for the west. Except… can the west suffer another such inglorious defeat? And then there is Israel. Will the madman in charge and at the end of his tether, voluntarily yield? Or will he keep on playing brinkmanship with the lives of the unfortunate Palestinians, in hope of finishing his cruel program before anybody, any of the other positioned actors, reacts to prevent that gross inhumanity (already far beyond war crime) from continuing?
What a state our world is in. And it is all, when taken to its roots, down to just two insufferable nations. The US and the UK. With a few other European nations, now old and feeble, who thought they could form empires across a helpless world, acting as accomplices in times gone by and still remaining a force of will even today. What are we to do about that? Isolate them? Punish them? Destroy them? Or forgive, punishing only those of our current generation who have acted irresponsibly to prolong this cursed path of creating chaos in the world?
Whatever is the outcome, we need to act as one to ensure it does not recur, ever again. Assuming there is anything left worth saving. I believe that with the latest movements to unite the more enlightened nations in the most recent of times, bringing them together, there is and will be such a chance to achieve something lasting in our time.
