Believe no other statements. The pace-making is entirely Russian. Trump & Co, Zee & Co, The Euro Sisters of Sleeze and Innuendo, cannot alter that progress nor effect an earlier conclusion than meets Russia’s needs. Be assured of that. Though you may hear their faint but ineffective bleats blowing wistfully across the Ukie Steppes for a while.
Russia is doing what Russia needs to do, nothing more, nothing less. Though I feel patience may begin to wear thin if obstinacy remains high among the dim lights of the West for much longer.

Criminals continue to be punished appropriately. But at least they are still alive.
Those not guilty of criminal action will, I’m sure, be more fairly treated, though there may be some penalty to serve. And they have hope of a subsequent return to a better life.
I have always believed, and I am still guided by the view that Russia does not limit itself to some border of assimilated regions. Which is merely a western delusion, but will pursue its SMO goals to, and perhaps beyond, whatever borders it feels it necessary to do so.
This is still an existential war for Russia. And the existential enemy has not yet been defeated. It must be defeated, one way or another, and no sensible diplomatic offer has so far been received by the Russians. I doubt any such offer will be received. Ever. So the battle continues, and will do so for as long as it takes.
Russia will win. Russia has in fact already won. Having no longer any viable enemy to fight. It is mainly a mopping up operation from now on.
